Daniela Braun

grew up in the region of Zurich in Switzerland. From 2013 – 2018 she studied at the Hochschule Luzern – Musik in the clarinet class of Paolo Beltramini and completed her Bachelor of Arts in Music and Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy both with distinction.

Afterwards she deepened her studies with Prof. Laura Ruiz Ferreres at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main.

In June 2021 she completed her Master of Music Performance degree at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo in the clarinet class of Björn Nyman. From september 2021 she will continue her studies with a Master in Specialised Music Performance in Contemporary Music at the Hochschule für Musik Basel.

To complement her education, she attended master classes with Yehuda Gilad, François Benda, Kilian Herold, Martin Fröst and others.

Besides performing as a soloist and with many different chamber music groups she plays in the Lucerne Festival Academy, Zermatt Festival Academy, Festival Orchestra Höri Musiktage, Norwegian National Youth Orchestra, Nordic Orchestra Academy, Kammerphilharmonie Frankfurt, Internationale Junge Orchesterakademie, Kammerorchester Amici dell’ Arte, Junge Philharmonie Zentralschweiz and other projects.

She teaches clarinet and works as a freelance musician.

Daniela Braun is winner of the Fritz Gerber Award 2021 of the Lucerne Festival und Fritz-Gerber-Stiftung as well as the 2nd Prize of the Concours National d’Exécution Musicale in Riddes 2016.
